In the Moment: #25: MUFE Spring Launches

Usually beauty events land on weekdays. This comes with a whole set of issues related to coordinating work schedules, making sure the makeup is good through the day, carrying the big camera to work etc. Though rare, it's nice to have a weekend event and last Saturday, Make Up For Ever showcased their Spring launches in a really cool space in Toronto.

The launches featured were:
- Step 1 Equalizer primers (10 in total!)
- two Rouge Artist Intense shades
- the Smoky Stretch mascara
- two Pro-Sculpting Duo

The Step 1 Equalizers are broken up into 5 texture and 5 tone correctors. The order of application depends on your skin condition, and oily, porous, super dry, and redness are all correctable with one of the Mattifying, Smoothing, Hydrating, Nourishing and Redness-Correcting Base. The Base Eclat Radiance Primer comes in 5 shades that lean blue, yellow, tan, bronze and pink.

The Smoky Stretch Mascara sounds pretty promising. It supposed to give high impact extension to even the smallest lash with long lasting color that's clump and flake free.

The Pro Sculpting Duo is MUFE's consumer friendly option for contouring and highlighting. They still offer their Sculpting Kits but the company felt like that was too complicated for the average consumer and is now offering a one-compact option. The light shade is good for cool undertones and the dark, for warm.

I'm most excited about the mascara and the primers. I'm slightly hesitant about the sculpting duo because the brown shade seems a little orange and I image it will work better as a bronzer than as a highlight shade. Reviews to come!
