Sometimes in life, we've got to be flexible. Sometimes, I expect that same flexibility with my makeup. The Body Shop's Color Crush Eyeshadows delivers when it comes to a flexible formula.

The new eyeshadows from The Body Shop can be used dry or wet. Though they don't feel that soft in the pan, they are comfortable and not gritty on the lid. Over primer, they lasted the entire day and did not crease.

Chocolate Liner is a matte medium slightly cool brown (though it looks sort of warm in the photo). This is a great transition shade. Boyfriend's Jeans and Grape Expectations are both pearlescent formulas which gives good sheen. They all blended nicely.

I was able to get a variety of coverage levels with these formulas:
If you want a sheer finish, use a brush and sweep the color across the lid.
If you want something more true to color, use your finger and pat down the color onto the lid.
If you want something little more intense, use a wet brush and pat on the lid.

I realize not everyone wants intense shadows and might appreciate more sheer formulas. These colors give you flexibility since they layer so well and are completely buildable. I actually enjoy these more than initially expected and these three colors makes for a great eye look as well.

I always like posts which show the product in actual use but I'm also realizing my camera and set up aren't good for these types of photos. Here is an attempt but it doesn't do the blue shadow much justice. I used Boyfriends Jeans over the lid, Grape Expectation in the outer third and Chocolate Liner in the crease. Check out those uneven brows! I'm a winner.

Have you tried the new shadows? What are you some of your favorite single shadows?

Daily Zen: Is it finally spring yet? 'Cause you never know. It could be sunny today but...blizzard tomorrow. I also made a calculus related Spring joke at work...it was a pretty good one but I'm sure no one really knew what I was talking about and laughed out of courtesy. I'm so lame.
